General Info about Unit:

For our final unit, we will be reading The Adventures of Tom Sawyer.  While much of the reading will be done in class, there will be homework and outside reading assignments that your student is responsible for.  Since this is the final unit for the quarter, any missing work could be devastating to a student's final grade.  The unit will consist of:

Study Guides: Homework grade = 20% of overall grade

Literary Circles & Final Project: Project grade = 20% of overall grade 

Quizzes and a Final Exam = 30% of overall grade

Novel Journals/Final Project = Writing grade = 30% of overall grade

Any absences resulting in missing work must be made up in accordance with the Hillcrest MS absent work policy.
