Meet the teacher

About Me:

I was born and raised in Sparks, NV, and I attended college at New Mexico State Univerisity.  I hold degrees in Theater Arts, Creative Writing, Drafting and Design Technology, and Education.  Needless to say, I love school!  I am in my 2nd year in the Deer Valley Unified School district as a Language Arts teacher.

Outside of school, I have a family of two boys, a husband, and 2 cats plus whatever they drag in (the cats, not the boys).  In my spare time I enjoy gardening, playing games on the computer, reading, and writing.  I also have a strange interest in educational research.

I someday hope to have my Doctorate in some field of study, but for now I am balancing being a Mom, a teacher, and a student of Life!
